"The Stress of the Test"

Time was slim and I was under the clock

This whole class came down to this one AP test

As every moment passed all I could hear was tick-tock

When the afternoon arrived I knew I would give it all I possessed

Months of learning all came down to this

My hands were shaking, my mind was racing

Even if I knew I was over prepared I know that this test wont be missed

But I knew I was ready for what I was facing

After the 90 minute first half 

I knew this test was almost through

But I was stuck on such a difficult graph

And I knew me getting an A needed to be true

Once the test had past

I let out a great big sigh

I knew the rest of my senior year would be a blast

But now I have to ponder on my score I received till I find out in July

"Bank Statement Confusion"

While checking the mail

I saw a letter with my name.

I then became pale

Unaware of what this letter would claim.

While opening it,

I realized it was from the bank

Which made me nervous a bit.

I hoped this was some sort of prank!

Turns out there was a charge

That I did not do.

Even though it was not large

It still needed to be looked into.

I called the place

Where it was charged,

In hope to solve this case

Of me being incorrectly charged.

After talking with them for way too long,

I finally got my money back.

Even though it may have been my fault all along,

This whole situation nearly caused a panic attack!

"The Return to Work"

Since basketball has now ended,

going back to work is what is intended.

It's been two months since I've been at work

and leaving made me feel like a jerk.

I am anxious to go back

and I just hope under the pressure I don't crack.

My anticipation was rising

which, in my case, was not surprising.

I knew things would be okay

but I still felt the need to reassure myself and pray.

They day for work was here

and part of me just wanted to disappear.

With all the courage I had

I walked in, praying things will not go bad.

Once my shift for that night had ended

I realized things were different than what I had intended,

Thankfully, everything went splendid.

I now recommend

"Applying Behind My Parent's Back"

After I visited Penn State

I loved it and wanted to apply

Even though I knew my application would be late

I figured it was still worth a try.

My parents were mad when they found out since they didn't know

That I decided to send my application in.

I just hoped they would let it go

And say "Okay." with a grin.

I handled the application process on my own

And my stress increased.

Everything was all unknown

To my parents at least.

Unfortunately when I sent it all out

College board was set up with my fathers account

And I realized he would be notified without a doubt.

I got worried because he would not be happy with the money amount.

He soon was aware

And then he asked me

I couldn't help but look at him with a blank stare,

I knew no matter what I said he wouldn't agree.

Once all was said and done

We decided to make a deal.

First we went through all the schools together one by one

And made the decision of what schools were ideal.

We sent all the applications in

And now the waiting process must begin!

"The New Me"

One day my mom and I got in a fight,

She claimed she was right.

I needed to clear my head

So I decided to go to bed

And think about what she said.

I would've shouted in the past

But now those thoughts came to me last.

I am a better person now

And I finally realized how.

After changing my ways,

Things got better through the days.

Today is the day

I thank god and pray

For helping me

Be the person I want to be.

"My First College Visit"

Even though I was a bit frightened
to see this school,
I hoped it was just like I had envisioned
or else that would be uncool.

After arriving,
I did not know what to say!
I looked around while hoping
I would be able to go here some day.

I fell in love;
it was everything I hoped for.
I was grateful it was not above
the price and that is something I could not ignore.

Hoping to finish my application soon,
so I can get a reply
and leave in June!

"What Happened to my Car?"

After being away for awhile

I noticed something at my car

that didn't make me smile.

Eventhough I wasn't that far,

seeing this wasn't my style.

I found a dent!

This was totally not cool,

I really needed to vent

But unfortunately, I had to go back to school.

While driving along the road,

I couldn't get out of my mind

that my car could have been towed.

I just wanted to rewind

everything that I was just showed.

Thankfully, everything was all okay

and my car was able to stay!
